Thanks! It came with a black scale and that was kinda boring to me, so I picked an orange scale up off the exchange and couldn't be happier!

The DLT exclusive is definitely a keeper. Put a new edge on it at 22 DPS.
ETA Looks like I need to get rid of some left over marker on it. After that, perfect.
Oh yeah . I guess that makes mine 21° DPS.
Or maybe the same. My 22° setting is closer to 20 when it hits the actual blade. That is what I used.
Either way . Huge improvement and easy to keep deadly sharp on the strop.

Yep, a huge improvement. My Eklipse and Half Track came very sharp the whole length of their blades, so I haven’t bothered with sharpening them yet. Of course, they aren’t as sharp as this one is now.
This one was sharp until the blade started it’s curve towards the tip. It was not very good in that area. That’s what prompted me to sharpen it. That, and I love the look even better now.

I must admit, I've been contemplating a hinderer for the past few days after seeing your photos of the non-flipper xm DRLyman.
Now I am trying to decide; do I buy the xm18 or the fixed xm 18.
I started as a fixed blade guy but have been getting into folders lately. I live in Australia so edc doesnt affect me or else i'd pick the xm18 easily.
If anyone has owned the fxm and any hinderer fold and could share some thoughts, i would appreciate it!

Thank you! I have no fixed blade knives, so I can't comment on that. I do really like the non-flipper that I have. It's a really great knife and I was surprised at how smooth it was when I got it. Whatever you decide, by the choices you have, you'll have a very nice knife. I do want to point out that if you're looking for the exact knife that I have, DLT only has one left in stock at the moment.

Y'all are making me quite jealous. I have a new Shiro and a lionSTEEL on the way, but nothing fresh Hinderer to post since my new HalfTrack back in March. I'll just have to post my XM24 REK re-grind from last summer in the face of your sweet edges and orange delight.
