Lets see some Hinderer action

Yes. For spanto , non flipper M390 that's the place. I was lucky and found mine new here for $350 since the seller purchased two. Even at full price it's worth it.
Thanks for the info. I thought I was right about DLT, but just wanted to make sure. I already have one picked out. You got a really good deal on yours.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Wish I liked spanto blades. Ugh. My issue is I want a slicer grind non flipper but no one has the one I want in stock. And rate I am going, never will. Want either bronze ti or non ano stonewashed (not working finish). None anywhere.

I was originally after that myself. But after enough research I realized the tougher spanto is more for me. I rarely slice cardboard and veggies. For utility I like the extra beef or id still carry my Inkosi which was a well rounded blade. Keep in mind the Slicer grind is still a thick blade after all.

Do what I did before and call RHK and tell them your preference so you get on the list. Also if you call tomorrow they may have the box of knives back from Blade and they might have one.

A huge plus for me is getting this in Gen 4 while available. Im not into steel lock bar inserts.

I used the recent eBay 20% off code and a best offer to snag this Hinderer Slippy for $184. I like it much more than I thought I would. It’s a great size, it has a nice action, and the fit/finish is good. It would have been nice if this had been available for my last job where I traveled all over the world; it should be legal about everywhere.

I see a lot of pocket time for this trio. Hopefully we’ll see brass hardware kits. Mine is begging for it.

Here it is with a few Spydercos of the same concept:

Received this in the mail today. I can't believe how smooth this knife is. Flicks open easily with no help from the wrist and drops shut. I'm very happy with it. This one is the DLT exclusive non flipper spanto with M390. I'm really loving the battle blue and working finish blade. To me, it's a great combination.

I totally agree on the look of that battle blue. Pretty stunning. I just know if I had it it would shows marks from just looking at it. That would drive me crazy. But man oh man it's good looking. I have no Hinderer and still trying to decide on one. Just can't seem to find one that checks every box. Hope someday to be able to post a pic here.

When I use the thumb stud to open my Hinderers, they fly open just like using the flipper tab. On these non-flippers, is the detent different so that they open, like maybe a CRK, or a Benchmade? Just curious, because I like M390 & I like the idea of a non-flipper Hinderer.

When I use the thumbstuds on mine, the blade flies out like an automatic! It actually deploys the blade a little faster than with the flipper. I use the thumbstuds, when my forefinger is too sore to use the flipper...:D I guess Hinderer owners know all about the sore forefinger! lol

You nailed it for me. If Hinderer would just change that flipper tab I most definitely would have 2 or 3 off the bat. But that tab runs me off. Not a fan of the spanto or I would definitely order one of those non flippers. Look good and from what I've seen all open effortlessly.

Yes, the detent is different from my Eklipse. I open my Eklipse with the thumb stud, also. This one flips open very easily. It’s very close to a PM2 to me. I have a very, very well broken in and pivot adjusted Inkosi that it is also about the same as when opening. What surprised me is how easily it drops shut when unlocked. My Eklipse still won’t do that and I am betting it will never get that smooth. And this is just the first day I’ve had it. I’m betting in a couple weeks it will be even better.

I’ve done the same thing and now just use the thumb stud to open my Eklipse. It opens much faster and saves my fingers, too.

I’ve started thinking differently than I had before and now think scratches and snail trails just add to the personality of a knife. Once I started thinking about my knives that way, I have enjoyed them a lot more than before. It may sound odd, but it was almost a liberating feeling.

Just a heads up. If you’re looking for this exact knife and color combo, DLT only has one left in stock at the moment.
