  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Lets see some Hinderer action

Being a knife-nut means hours of idle shop-looking on our favourite vendor sites. We absolutely need special knives for all occasions and every conceivable scenario from alien invasion to zombie apocalypse. It is essential for us to stay on top of current offerings lest we miss that perfect knife for attending a neighbour's pet's birthday party or flipping whilst sitting on the john. Yep, I'm talking about gotta-have-it-gonna-die-without-it knives.

It was during one of these vendor website perusal sessions, that I checked in on the Rick Hinderer section. I spied with my little eye, a gorgeous XM-18 3" Vintage in O1 tool steel and a textured walnut scale. I think I might absolutely need one... because reasons.

Yeah. I hit the "Buy Now" button. Will post a pic when it comes in. If anyone wants to tease me with a photo of their Vintage series model while I have to wait for mine, well, you're a scoundrel and a scallywag. In a Han Solo kind of way. When Han Solo was still cool; before Disney wrecked Star Wars.

Been meaning to get one of these holey clips for a while. Ended up removing the ano from a blue stonewashed one. Also, all hardware is de-anodized Hinderer Ti stuff. Thanks to ferider for the plug on the ti torx head clip screws from that knife supply place.

Thanks again for teaching me how to de-anodize: tried it on a battle blue clip (working finish under-neath), works real well (and it's fast !):
