Lets see some Hinderer action

Nice. BTW, since you carry your 24s tip-down, might be interested in this, not sure if I have shown it before:

polished hardware on the slicer and put both back on Teflon. The slicer detent is perfect and the fullered spear is a little stiff (Unable to deploy with stud) but man I love these tools. Waiting for Hinderer to do a sheepsfoot 3.5 skinny I’ll get that for sure.

Thanks to DRLyman DRLyman for the great deal on the slicer!

That looks great. I really like it with the polished hardware and that bright blue. They go together well. I think it looks much better after you got your hands on it :thumbsup::thumbsup:

If anybody had told me a couple of years ago that I'd care about knife serial numbers, I'd called him crazy ...

Welcoming #3 (on bearings) to the family. #7 (on washers) is very happy to have a backup now.

Thats some nice knives you got there! What series is this? Is it a limited run from some dealer? I never seen serial #s on a Hinderer

Those look like custom Sparrow or harpoon spear point grinds, you can tell because they used CPM-3V which is not a normal RHK steel. One is a triway too which is really impressive. I'm super jealous.

I believe they are both Tri way signature series knives with harpoon spear blades. The grinds are performed by Rick if that’s true. The fact that these two are sequentially numbered is rad too.

Thanks guys :) They are both almost identical, the tip is ground slightly differently. Here is Rick himself on the Signature series:

The story goes like this: he had some spare 3V Spanto Harpoon blades; he doesn't like Spanto, so he re-ground them and created the series. Anyways, I had #111 before (there is a previous post somewhere), and just last week #110 came up on FB, so I couldn't resist.

Just BTW, all the vintage/O1 Hinderers have serials. The 18 Skinner and 24 Spearpoint are still available at several dealers. Just saying :)

Cheers,

Roland.

And todays picture is about slicers, which I love.

I'm quite proud of the bling, Chinese clip with real US Cartridge. That one took me an hour or two ...

I don't do Colt .45 which is the only brass you see on Hinderer clips (Steel Flame or Chinese).

Would that happen to be an XM-24 slicer on top? If so, very nice. Happy Easter

I am going through the whole topic since page 1 and found your post. Those scales are amazing !

May I ask what is the exact model please?

I am at my first Hinderer and I absolutly love it! A gen 6 XM-24 with 20CV with the same DLC stonewash and green transparent scales. Love how yours look and maybe I can find them for my 24. Thank you.

Not the OP, but that looks like a Gen 6 skinny XM-18 3.5" Slicer with a marbled cf scale, probably custom scale.
