Lets see some Hinderer action

Nice! I’m stoked it worked out well for you. That’s looks really good! Good job, brother.

Thanks again for teaching me how to de-anodize: tried it on a battle blue clip (working finish under-neath), works real well (and it's fast !):

Roland.

Would using metal polish and some elbow grease on for example the blue ti anodized scale look good you think?

I want a plain ti-scale, but theyre sold out everywhere. They got ugly anodized blue tho, so...

This would indeed remove the blue anodization, but the polishing would also remove most or all of the underlying stonewashed finish (or pretty much whatever the finish below is).

If anyone has any non-chemical solutions that I’m unaware of, please chime in.

Looking for a black DLC Ti XM18 3.5 scale. Can be smooth or textured. Prefer textured. Posted in the wtb section but thought I’d throw it out to this crew if you may have a spare laying around. Just shoot me a PM

thanks
Are you still looking for a scale? I have a battle black 3.5 Ti scale that was briefly used before descending the micarta rabbit hole.

I can post some pics on here with my knife set up this way if a BB Ti would work.

thanks but I found a bronze textured Ti scale that works for me for now. If I get an itch for the BB I’ll let you know. Thanks again

Nice spread, I really wanted a skinny skinner. What are your impressions?

Thanks ! I didn't know the Skinnys were gone already, sorry .... anyways, great general purpose knife, including food prep in the field, etc. Flips like nothing else :)

Still waiting for Skinny specific parts, particularly skinny standoffs and skinny titanium scales.

I'm a fan of Hinderer's "Make it your own" ethos, but it should to be revised to read "Make it your own...in a year or two or three" because that's how long I've waited for some parts.

Agreed, I've been waiting for brass or copper skinny specific hardware for a while. I also would really like a complete black out sets too.

It would be nice if a complete set would come out too instead of just a bunch of random parts and then you have to try and complete a set but never get all the pieces you need.

If I find anything I'll keep you updated, have a good one sir.
