Lets see some Hinderer action

Will there be more Hinderer knives released soon? Kind of itchy for a new one to add to my collection (regretting for not grabbing a DLC 3.5" skinny slicer or fuller spear).

RHK seems to go in batches of small releases, usually 4 to 10 at a time. With the ranch being down due to Covid Rick himself has been doing the assembly and tuning of most knives coming out right now, at least that's what Suppliers are saying anyways.

I was holding out for a battle black or DLC blade too but I was told the DLC shops aren't taking work either so it looks like things are gonna be sparse for a while.

There are wharncliffes at DLT and USAmade has some stuff too. I think a batch of nonflippers just landed too at GPknives. Good luck.

Yeah, I'm kinda kicking myself for not getting a 3 1/2" skinny slicer, but it's not like I really need one. I have other Hinderers that don't get carried as often as they should.

Question; Why aren't there more Timascus, Damascus, Mokuti accessories for RHK knives? I see it on almost every other knife but not XM's or RHK in general.

I'd love a set of Mokuti hardware, specifically skinny specific. Anyone know something I don't?

Probably too cheap for the Hinderer crowd :) (one day, check out the FB Hinderer group, and you'll understand).

In any case, there are several Zero Tolerance knives that have the same hole pattern as the Hinderer. You could get a Timascus ZT clip and bend it, or put a filler tab underneath.

I've also seen Timascus LBS claimed to be for Hinderers. Careful though, ZT LBS is thinner than the Hinderer LBS. Plus, the LBS is hidden under the clip anyways.

Ya i found a few of those on Etsy, wrote them off because they look like flamed ti more than mokuti or timascus.

Speaking of new releases, did we ever get any info on the prototype in Rick's pocket hinted at in the BHQ Shot show video? I almost forgot about that. Perhaps a delay due to current circumstances.

Been wondering the same myself. Really peaked my interest when he said, "It's a gonna be a biggie...".

I would like thoughts on the new 3 in non flippers. Anyone got one and can tell if the detent is light enough to spydie flick? Or can it be slow rolled like a Sebbie? Or so hard that if you flick it, off it goes like a rocket. Want one but only in if detent weaker enough to open other than flipping like a bat outta hell

If you read a page or two back, the spydieflick is much more doable than previously thought. I can spydie flick my XM18's now by using the fingertip and not the finger nail, the 45 degree angle helps a lot too. I assume the nonflipper will have a much better detent than the flipper considering you don't need the heavy detent for perfect flipping but that's only an assumption.

FYI regarding possible new releases, people on the Hinderer Facebook page were talking about placing orders for tri-way Eklipses supposedly coming out. I don’t know where they get their info, but they generally seem to be at least a few days ahead of the info I find here on the forums. If true, I might have to pick one up, though I really want a skinny Jurassic to come out...

Skinny Jurrassic would be amazing!

You can easily soften the detent. Not always the other way around :)

The Tri-Way Eklipses are up on the Hinderer website, they have been there since Sunday. Only a few on there as of now...

Last week I added a Ti scale to my 3.5 spanto to remember my "best buddy" who we lost a while ago.
(thank you to @Phil Indablanc for helping me track this down). Today added a skinny skinner Covid to the collection.

Nice, it looks like you go the Working finish version.

The covid symbol seems to stand out more on that working finish, on my stonewashed it can disappear in the right light angle.

How are you liking the skinny skinner? I'm loving mine.

I'm actually surprised on how much I like the skinner. That blade profile never appealed to me in photos. I took a chance on this
and I'm glad I did. Looks much better in person. I'm looking forward to putting it to use. The covid symbol is silver on this one, other photos I've seen looked black. This also disappears at an angle.
