Lets see some Hinderer action

Anyone has ever re-anodized RHK XM-18 (the lockside and liner of course)? I have a battle blue skinny XM-18 3.5" that has a scratch/discoloration across the lockside due to the pocket clip moving. It looks to me more like the anodization being rubbed off rather than the ti handle is scratched up. It actually does not bother me much but just makes me wonder how easy or difficult it is to re-anodize by myself. By the way I have anodized titanium scales/hardware before but not RHK ones.

Never done it electrically, only via heat, which would be the wrong approach here.

But: you could deanodize everything ? Battle Blue becomes working finish, Blue becomes stonewashed. That's very easy.

The Jurassics didn't last long, but RHK still has both brass and copper XM-18 3" hardware kits.

My first one, glad I went with a 3in., perfect size for me.

I finally got a 3" XM-18 and added a Ti scale to it, and it feels nice in the hand. It's easy to carry in just about any pocket too. But I find my 3.5" XM-18 flippers are a little more satisfying to deploy and close.

This new one that arrived today also deploys pretty nicely, but it's a 2-handed closer unlike the others.

I knew you would get one.

I knew you would get one.

Yeah. I've been a bad boy, but it's not thaaaat much better than my other OTS automatics. I was pretty happy with my Benchmade CLA, or my new Protech SBR Rockeye for OTS, but having a 3.5" Auto might be useful sometimes. And it's gorgeous and built like dream, with such great materials and fit and finish it's ridiculous.

Wait - were you talking about the 3" XM-18?

No, the auto.

If you 1) love the texture of the XM-18 series show-side scale and 2) own a Firetac, how do you feel about the Firetac's partial texturing?

Over the years I've learned that I'm a texture fiend, and the smoothness of that handle is giving me pause.
