Lets see some Hinderer action

I would say it’s pretty shallow. It’s definitely much thinner behind the edge than my spear point. I don’t have another slicer to compare it to. I’m looking at it now. If I didn’t know it was hollow by the H on the flipper. I might not notice.

Received mine and I echo what JACKMANDU JACKMANDU said on both the Eklipse Slicer and the XM-18 3.5" Slicer. I have not gotten a chance to take some pictures though. The hollow grinding could be a bit more aggressive IMO.

Received my Eklipse hollow grind slicer yesterday. The slicer grind is my favorite blade style produced by Hinderer and this is the first time I've seen it on an Eklipse. It arrived very sharp out of the box, perhaps the sharpest in my Hinderer collection, but as JACKMANDU JACKMANDU and sharp_edge sharp_edge indicate the hollow grind is very, very shallow. It's almost impossible to tell from photographs and physical inspection. The hollow grind is even barely noticeable to the touch. It doesn't become apparent until you hold a straight edge ruler against the blade and see the tiniest minuscule sliver of light.

I'm very glad to have the Eklipse Slicer grind, but with the hollow grind being barely prominent I don't see the need to replace my standard XM-18 3.5" Slicers. However if you don't have a XM-18 3.5" Slicer to begin with, then by all means get the hollow grind :)

My only XM-18 slicer I have is the rose gold and yellow one above that arrived yesterday. I had another previously, but sold it to Terry M when he spent over a month missing out on snagging an XM-18 a couple years back (when they were much harder to find). It's already in my pocket today, even thought it looks and feels unused.
