Lets see some Hinderer action

Is this normal? Look at the body screws, seems like on the halloween edition the body screws don’t have a flat side? Also, seems like Torx not Hex like usual. It's not a fake as it was purchased direct from Rick's website, still an interesting change for this edition? I wonder what the reason was however.

Noticed the same on my recent XM-18 Sheepsfoot. Looks like Rick has made a hardware change.

AFAIK, the 18 Sheepsfoot always had hardware similar (or identical? Didn’t try) to the Eklipse. My guess is to avoid that the blade touches the standoffs.

Here is my older one, for example:

Oh you are absolutely right, I remember him talking about this saying the blade wouldn’t fit in the XM-18’s handle with the sheepsfoot blade

This. All Sheepsfeet have the Eklipse standoffs.

Yet neither my Wharncliffe Eklipse nor Skinny 18 Sheepsfoot's blades come anywhere near the standoffs. Especially the whatncliffe Got half a mind to try swapping some hardware off my regular XM-18 onto the Eklipse, the spacing seems very much identical. Guessing they won't fit due to the shoulder of the spacer possibly being narrower on the Eklipse than the female part of the bolt on the Xm-18. There's be a lot more customized Eklipses if it was that easy. Sucks because most dealers in EU barely stock hardware, and the ones that do rarely if ever stock Sheepsfoot/Eklipse hardware.

No comparison… as a cutter, it’s in between normal and skinny slicer …. Hard to notice the hollow grind. The Zaan is in a different cutting class, IMHO.
That's too bad. I guess I'll wait to see if we get a Hollow Skinny XM! I love the Eklipse but it cuts like a splitting maul. Pretty surprised we never saw an Eklipse Skinny in general.
