Lets see some Hinderer action

Definitely a keeper for me with the perfect detent and lock bar release . Put a couple of drops of KPL on the bearings since I had it apart for the new hardware with a slight piviot adjustment and she is a dream now. Was good before but even better now. I actually ordered some Skiff bearings and I have no idea why lol it really doesn’t need them imo so I’ll probably ending up just hanging on to them for a back up .
I wasn't sure if it was just my particular knife, but I do think that the detent on mine is better than my other Hinderers. I always thought the detents on my XM-18 and XM-24 are a little soft, and my Project X is a bit too stiff. They are all still good, but I always thought they could be a little better.

However, right out of the box, I felt that the Eklipse was better. Right in the "Goldie Locks" zone.

Since you said yours is perfect, I guess it's not just my particular knife. I guess maybe it's just an Eclipse thing.

I’ve always been partial to SAK-red scales, since I always carried a SAK when I was a boy.

Love those scales on that Carothers. Those can’t be factory can they? They’re awesome either way

No I agree 100% and yes I thought my Eklipse was the special one too . Still love my PX but yes the detent is much stiffer no doubt.

It’s definitely an eklipse thing or maybe I’ve just been super lucky. I’ve had 3 and still own 2 and they’ve all been perfection! I regret selling the first one I had it was a Bowie. I’m assuming they are pretty darn consistent when they set their detents because my project x also had a really stout detent. I still like the knife but ended up selling it to get another xm that I didn’t need 😂

In my experience, the Eklipse models have better detents that are perfectly dialed in versus the other models which is another reason why it’s my favorite Hinderer model. When they added the hollow grind to the Eklipse, it shot it into another dimension for me.

Yeah, I loved my Eklipse the moment I got it, but a couple of weeks later after carrying and using it at work every day, I am really appreciating it on a deeper level. I can fully understand why a lot of people say it's their favorite Hinderer model. I think I'm getting there.

You guys are really getting me hyped for my Eklipse. I couldn’t decide between the Jurassic or the XM-18 or the Eklipse. The hollow grind, blue/black scales, and the fact that I love my ZT version tipped the scales. Your comments confirm my choice!

Ellipse FTW but I do love my PX especially in the little more knife category.

Had one in the cart a few weeks back. It was a bridge too far price wise, for me. The Eklipse is stretching it enough for me. I wish ZT would make PX-like knife for us with shallower pockets. The PX checks a lot of boxes for me, but thankfully the Eklipse does as well.

I think and know you will be very happy with the Eklipse in all areas . It can fill the shoes of bigger knives with no problem 👍🏻👊🏻

I love the "little more knife" category, and yeah, the PX fits in that category very well.

I also like the "a lot more knife" category, and that's what my XM-24 is for. 😁

I really like the XM24 also but for “me” it pushes the envelope of to big. I can definitely feel that one in my pocket and almost always have to pull my belt one notch tighter 😆
