Where are you finding the variety of micarta scales? I see Whitty has a few, but I am looking for some different colors. Does it feel any different than the G10 scales?

Hey after looking at your video i can assure you that is pretty normal, it's just the detent ball coming out the socket a little bit. I thought you meant it rattled when you shook it side to side.. as long as there is no blade play when the knife is closed or open then what you are showing is just the detent ball. Could be wrong though but all mine do what you just showed in the video... anyone else care to chime in?i think i got it...let me know if you need more videos

Really? Maybe I'm wrong then. You could always email and ask. Dont want to miss lead you...Oh ok...i was under the impression that they will not mess with the detente at all

I've been collecting for years and I've never been so obsessed with a knife. It's my perfect knife -- my favorite design (xm-18), my favorite steel (m390), it has no choil (pointless on a blade < 4"), it's my favorite color (blue), it looks badass (black dlc blade and frame), and the one I got is an absolute perfect specimen.

We definitely will. Shoot me a PM or email to scott@usamadeblade.com and let me know what you are looking for!
Here is one we did today. Even matched the liner with the crack patterned anodizing!

I have the Legion pistol. What do they need for verification to sell that knife to me on sigsauer.com? As far as the detente, you might have to do some kind of custom shaving of the detente ball - or replace it - for it to seat properly in the hole. These Hinderers are notorious for detente and other issues when you get them new. If you look back at some of the pages in this thread, you might find what you need in order to fix it. A lot of us have had similar issues that we worked out thanks to a few of the guys contributing to this thread. Blade play is definitely not normal...don't settle for that.
You have to register the pistol on their site...then they give you access to buy "special"legion products that only legion members can buy...I bought mine last week on sale for$400. So should I just keep this for the uniqueness or just return it?
There is no blade play side to side. There is just some looseness sitting in the detente when i pull on the blade lightly...but again the only reason why it's like that is because the ball is only in there 5 or 10%.
If your comfortable doing this. Take it apart with the proper tools (protect the pivot screw slot with tape on what ever tool you use as the black coating will scratch off easily) and increases the pressure on the lock arm.
well that wont work as i tried pushing in the lock arm with the blade closed and it will not go in any further...but this offset was done on purpose obviously otherwise if the ball went in completely then the lock arm would be touching the blade which I definitely dont want. All I want is the ball to go in about 35% so the blade will be a little more stabilized when closed.
