  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Lets see some Hinderer action

My initial thoughts on the MP-1 are mixed.
Love the size and weight, LOVE the sheepsfoot.
Definitely needs some break in. Not super smooth yet without it being uncentered when closed.
I definitely don't like the choil. Did I ever mention that I don't like choils? ;)
Overall I think I like it, but it didn't kick an XM out of my pocket today...

The choil makes sense if you examine the knife when closed. Keeps you from cutting your flipper finger, lol

The m390 in the 4" was pretty limited from what I recall. We had a few standard wharncliffe blades and that was it for us.

As nice as it would be to do a custom run of Xm-24s, the reality is the 18s sell 50 to 1 for us. You'd really have a good cutting edge though without a choil on a 24.

I guess I will keep watching and hoping. Just got my zt0392blk from you guys.....nice knife for sure.

Hold the knife while it's closed and look where the choil is. The edge could accidentally cut your finger when you went to use the flipper if not for the choil

Yup, the guys that bought all those no choil M390's have nothing but complains about that. [emoji41]

Edit: While I was joking about the xm-18, the mp1 is a different story and I stand corrected.

I haven't seen any complaints about that!?!? That doesn't even make sense Joe. Imo it shouldn't be an issue for those knives. The MP1 the edge sits a lot deeper (closer to the backside of the handle) as you can see in my pic above. Here's my no choil XM the edge never gets even close to the backside of the handle.

Umm, I was joking [emoji854]. I have owned 6 and currently have 3 no choils, no problem.

Hadn't even noticed that. I guess there won't be a no choil MP-1.

Love this knife!
