Well, since there's so many SAKs in this thread here's a delux tinker I just finished with 6al4v titanium liners and scales and titanium hollow pins. I still want to make a bail for it and get the shield etched on.
Yep. I didn't do the tools of course. Those are from a Vic deluxe tinker but I made the scales and liners using the original aluminum liners as templates. I used a pre '07 thicker main blade with the crossbow stamp and drilled and honed all the tool pivot holes out for 1/8" pins and installed 32 handmade .005" phosphor bronze washers to keep the tools from riding on the liners. Once I got all the Flitz flushed out with brake cleaner and oiled her up she worked perfectly. I'm no knifemaker but I've been a machinist and jeweler for years so I figured it out.
I looked at your videos and saw that you're a fellow orange-o-phile. I have something else in the works that you may like. Orange G10 SAK Super Tinker with titanium liners and 1/8" stainless pivots. Oh, and titanium tweezers and toothpick.
I dig blue and orange. They are the most underestimated opposites on the color wheel. These are scales I made for a Leatherman Charge that a guy in Canada modified quite nicely to have a hammer on one side like the MUT. The hammer side had steel scales so he only needed 2 of the G10.
The pink G10 SAK is on the short list. I've had more requests for pink than any other color.
I haven't done a pocket clip yet. I have a top secrete plan for one that snaps flush into a cutout in the G10 scale when not in use but... I've already said too much.
