I just got the Ranger today,love the Stayglo scales & will be getting more.
The orange lanyard is my finale solution to hang any of the bigger SAKs off my belt loop,
simple & effective.
 
Hi tknife: I was impressed with your mod on the Pioneer, good job, and often more useful in todays horseless world. I want work on a Pioneer, but am concerned with possible damage to the scales. Could you point me to some how-to-do-it instructions on how to disassemble and reassembel an Alox knife? What special tools are needed, and from what sources may they be obtained? I have a few cutlers tools, an a little esperience in repairof, and building from kits, knives of the conventional, American style. I have a "spinner" but have not used it yet, being concerned with damage to the scales. I assume you used a spinner to get the smooth ends on the pins of your knife.
