Here's one that I'll have on my table this week at The Art of Steel Show:

Loveless Archer Chute with upgrades of "true" Lignum Vitae scales, wide bolster, tang with brass inset nameplate. Precisely dated to 1974 by John Denton and Steve Johnson.

Thanks/credit go out to Jim Treacy for this excerpt of optional extras from the 1975 Loveless catalog that enumerate the many add-ons:

I've owned a few knives by Warren Goltz, retired maker. His work is near perfect, too bad there's not much out there. Most of what I've owned or seen have been hunters, then this one popped up on a site and I was lucky to get it. Definitely a Chute style with some very well done sawteeth, lashing holes, too.

This thread definitely deserves a full review. Some great stuff from Tad Lynch, Dan Graves and Ben Tendick standing out to me in the last few pages. Really digging the Farnham piece back on page 25 too. Great earthy textures.

These are some oldies out of my shop... but I think that they fit into the category or "pure fighters". Or, rather, I can think of no other service category to which they might neatly belong.

Erin, that last one with the Blackwood?? handle is just dead sexy! Is that a frame handle or integral?

Darcy:)

This is a great thread, thanks to Joe for starting it... Joe, in your very first post, your Shiva Ki is a lovely knife. Still got it?

Also in the very second post by @dcv69, who is the maker of this stunning knife... is is Jason knight?

Not long to go now...
