Lets See Some Pure Fighters

Great pics Coke, that first pic looks like DeLeons BA1 or model VN? Both are grail knives for me. The Bad Ass 1 is one of my favourite knives of his along with his sub hilt version below. Our own Adam Vigil is taking a spin on the BA1 pattern for me.

The BA1 is clearly his take on the Randall model 1, dare I say he did them better! Second down is Deleon's A1 sub hilt, you can see the loveless Big Bear inspired grind there:




 
These will be pure fighters when finished up. :)

So many great blades in this thread, pre- and post-resurrection. That Lamey fighter is outstanding.

I've got three new fighters on the way, two of them coming later today, and they all have blades under 7-inches.

I first saw Seward's Bodyguard model in one of the many excellent YT videos posted by the OP, and was sold immediately; getting one was more difficult. Big fighters are awesome, but this 5.5-inch blade is theoretically practical for carry as a medium-duty tool, and - secretly - for last-ditch defense... because in Canada, handguns can't be carried at all, and you don't have a legal right to carry a knife for self-defense. But never mind that BS. Walnut handle, W2, double-hollow-ground, great hamon:

This one's coming with it: CAS San-Mai & Stag Fighter; like Ben Seward, another maker whose work has blown me away:

Just bought this on the exchange, another Milan Mozolic fighter I couldn't resist; the other one's got a 10" blade, this one's more compact. 12-inches OAL, stabilized Bog Oak and a 7-inch blade of W5 (which I wasn't familiar with... it's virtually identical to W2, but with less variation in it's makeup; W2 ranges from 0.83 - 1.50% Carbon, which is a wide margin. W5 is 1.15 - 1.35% Carbon. Once again, his sheath work is fantastic: cow leather with shark leather inlay:

This is something that might not fit here

But since it's my thread what the hell :)

It's a prouduction folder ...... I know can't be a pure fighter :)

I've often thought of commissioning a custom version of this knife but I really don't know how that would make it better .....is that solid of a knife

These pieces were so well done and to hold one you will know why for a folder it's a monster of a fighting knife

Was able to snag this....few and far between. Serial Number 906, made in 1994, Tom quit at #910 right after this was finished.

He started again in 2009 and made 20 of his take-down Vorpal Haiku pieces before ending production...a sad day.

Dawkind that is perfect. I'm desperate for a Vorpal myself. Few and far between indeed.

Is it you that also has a Tanto Vorpal?
