Pretty much. there is no punching/kicking/chopping in judo. it is all done in a way that will not hurt an opponent, that is, until you want to :D

Judo... I used to take tae kwon do, quit when I hit black belt. Told 'em I would come back the second they offered a knife fighting class. They have not yet strayed from empty hand.
I'm thinking about inqiring about teaching my own knife fighting class there... Hafta practice a little more with trainers first.
Oh yeah, and for a fighting knife, backcutting is the way to go, just putting that out there.

Some of us hang out in trees. Dude, I love the WP. I had plans to go grivory, but it didn't work out. Mr. Fisk sharpened my WP. How many people on Earth can say that? I'm guessing just me.
