Let's see those 73s (and 72s)

Great Collection Tony!! Other than the Bullnose, my favorite pattern from GEC is the 72 with a close contender with the #15. This thread makes me drool! I do have one UN-X-LD 72 in Stag and it sees some regular carry time, one of my favs.

My hard working 72 lockback with kingwood scales, love this blade shape, but i need clip point too ;)

Here's one of my "enhanced" 72's, sold a few years back to a customer and friend. (sniff) Hope you're enjoying it in good health, Paul!

I put this type of thing on my site from time to time, but they usually don't last too long.

happy to oblige:)

I've included my two Cody Scouts at the end. The only knife I've ever bought two of and with good reason. These are my favourite variation of the 72/3 pattern. Although the #72 clip is a lovely looking knife, the extra heft of the Cody with a really useful pen wins it for me. also, both Cody Scouts have flush springs in all positions. The only GEC's I have which do.

Thought I would also share how I carry my 73/72s, especially for the double bladed models.

I use either a pocket sheath or a belt sheath. I have two examples of each.

Here is an overall photo. Starting from the top and going clockwise: KSF MainStreet pocket sheath, Case horizontal belt sheath, belt sheath from a non-forum dealer, and Old Hundred Collectible pocket sheath (this is for the single blade knives but it fits double bladed models with some stretching.)

And some close ups.

The Case horizontal sheath is probably the best deal out of the four. Though it's also the cheapest and feels/smells that way. The KSF MainStreet is my current favorite.

I really like the #72 single blade - slim in the pocket and just the right length.
