Should boughta battlesaw

Told ya!!! ;) I thought FOR SURE you would!

Agreed! Great pics Nemesis!

Yeah Andy, those are my thoughts exactly. I think the Battle Saw would be my perfect knife if it had a Fusion handle. But it's pretty darn close as is. I like it better with the paracord D-guard; It feels more secure chopping and sawing.

Thank you sir and I agree if there is ever a NMFBS I'll be all over it

Well, I took my Black/Tanker Grey and put the chemicals to her... Tanker Grey is some mean finish! It's the toughest I've seen.

That's some nice CBT dude.

What's the in hand feel difference? Weight? Choking up, choil hold, choking back?

Hey Tim,

The Battle Saw is surprisingly light and quick in the hand. It's the same overall size as the fbm but feels more precise and you have a slightly greater lateral range of movement when swinging it around (think clearing brush movement). This could be just that it's a little lighter (but not by much) and easier on the wrist or that that ASH style handle feels "locked in". I like both handle's but have gotten used to sliding back on the Fusion which is really comfortable to me and because you can get a further back while chopping the FBM has a better vertical downward swing.

The balance point is roughly the same in that they both balance on one finger placed directly above the choil. I'm a choil guy, to the point where I regularly almost have accidents when I pick up none Busse blades. The choil grip on both is great. Again the saw feels light for it's size, however I have to remember that it's a saw and not jimping on the back, as my thumb tends to ride way up the spine (think cutting an apple motion). The FBM has a great scallop to press your thumb against if you need a little extra pressure.

Overall it looks and feels very practical with the flat pommel and saw and cbt all on one blade, and probably moves just like the ASHBM, which I don't have. One thing to note is that my wife picked it up right away and said it was very comfortable, easy to control, and that she could see herself carrying it. Then she asked me to get her a leather sheath for it. :) so this one may be lost to me. I was surprised because she tends to think my Busse knives are too chunky for her to use and this is technically the one with the longest blade...(not making a joke here.:D.)

Anyway hope all that makes sense. Will update when I've had more of a chance to use it.

Have a great weekend!
