LETS SEE THOSE MAGNIFICENT HARNESS JACKS

Johnnythefox Johnnythefox I am starting to understand the "joys" of old injuries, my Left Hand Thumb - and the two Interphalangeal bones where they join in the middle and the Trapezium Bone ( something for you to look up on Google 🤣 ) is playing up something unreal- just started off with X-Rays, haven't the results yet-= not sure if it's Arthritis - its been almost too fast for the demise of the joints- but man- somedays are outright painful - had to stop pulling sock oFf by hooking the Thumb in and yanking it down- that's a no go right now 🙁

Onwards and upwards though! If it comes to Surgery - with the experience of the HJ9 Punch on how efficient it is in getting into the Human Body, I will gladly hand over The Drover to the Surgeon 😆

The good thing it doesn't effect my Knife opening! :)

Campbellclanman Campbellclanman Duncan that Electric Cut Co HJ looks great for its age and the punch is different. I had issues for years with my left thumb when cortizone shots stopped helping the pain and unable to turn a door knob I gave in for surgery.
The doctor did a cmc abduction suspension arthroplasty and removed my trapezium bone. The use of my left hand improved tremendously I still get pain at times but not the bone on bone pain I was getting. Good luck

Ive been through this the last 2 years, this years been very bad.
Its most likely arthritis and or carpal tunnel.
I had 4 injections this year the last one ultrasound guided worked to a degree, with luck they will work for you PUSH FOR THEM.
The hand is to complicated to operate on except in a emergency.

Is that a Robeson, invoice?? Can you show the main tang stamp please??
Nice looking Stockman!!

Here is a neat Older Pic Bone example of the fantastic NY Knife HJ ( New York knife Co. Walden). somewhere between 1902 ( the Patent date to the closure of the Factory in 1931).

This neat Old example sports neat Pic Bone, the Mark Side has faded but this hasn't put me off by any means, Love the Both of the NY Knife Punches, in the next two posts I will show both examples- this is mirrored by Camillus with their Spiral Punch, and the same built Punch that doesn't have the Spiraled grooves - but exactly the same in every other way.

Walk and Talk is superb, NY Knife Co has a brilliant reputation, and everyone who owns these Knives know why.

Funny, the photo's show a Pile side Crack- yet in " the Flesh" this is hardly seen- weird - all in all a great Knife!

I have seen a few Harness Jack Knives come up on E-Bay lately, some are a real concern, man we need to be very careful out there my friends, this one is a good 'un though.......

I saw this one a while ago, a real nice OVB with lovely Cocobolo Handles, and the very nice NY Knife Fuller Punch, that sports the Patent number of 1171422. Such a nice attractive Punch.

This lovey Harness Jack has gorgeous all over it! The photo's if anything will make the Knife look a little worse than in real life because of harsh lighting, the Wood is much Deeper and richer. Nice swage Work, stunning Walk and Talk.

Real nice!! I hope you landed it, Duncan; it's a superb example of NYK's work!!

Hey Charlie- Thank you, any praise about an Harness Jack from you is most certainly very much appreciated :)

Yep! It's definitely here Sir, all the 6 or so HJ's that I have posted lately from page 100 ( post 1,992 ) Starting with the Syracuse were in the same shipment box from the famous North Dakota Post Master, the Harness Jack that I posted before the Syracuse was that Stunning Ebony Rider form you, Charlie thank you once again for that, just an amazing Knife.
Speaking of that Post Master in ND, we did a bit of a deal where I shipped him some Stag's and he shipped me a very nice prototype Tidioute 2008 54 framed Harness Jack, Knife, one of two.
It came with not a Certificate of authentication, but it was an actual Letter of authentication from Kenneth Daniels, I haven't seen a LCA before.
I need to take photo's of it and post it up when I do :)

Not that I remember that Ken was there- but I do remember seeing a few things associated with Kens Name in the early days of GEC, but what that actually was Charlie I cannot remember.
about that Letter, I haven't either Charlie- I will post a photo of it up with the Knife Photo's.

Ken and Bill were partners in the early years of GEC. Ken sold to Bill to takeover Queen. Queen was, well already going downhill. I bought quite a few GEC from Ken and/or Ryan Daniels at shows in GA. Ken gave my youngest son his first knife, beat me to it! Always a class act. I wanna say the first 3 years of GEC Ken was with them??
