LETS SEE THOSE MAGNIFICENT HARNESS JACKS

It took me long enough to spring for a HJ, but I finally broke down and got one. It is one of Charlies newest SFOs in gabon ebony:

I like it a lot. How could I not; it is built on the boy's knife platform. Just right for me.

And a great club it is!!
Thanks for the pics and encouraging words, Will, Robin, Ed, John, Randy, Christian and Duncan! And anyone I may have missed!!

Hi guys, I li=ove those knives, particularly the sun burnt acrylics. I have a stupid question, what is the funny little triangle blade for? Please explain it to me as you would to a small child, and visual cues would be good too, particularly if they have Jpegs of more of those beautiful blades:D

Harness jack. It is a punch for making holes in leather (harnesses originally). Or for just general poking duties.

I have been so privileged to know many of our fantastic members here- and have been very lucky to be gifted knives at times-which is such a fantastic thing to happen - it really does something - anyway, I was extremely lucky enough to be gifted a Red Bone HJ6 by a great member here, and I needed to use one-and managed to obtain another 66 red Bone HJ -wow!!! but I was working away one morning quite early in the training Centre and my knife dropped to the concrete...I normally don't do this sort of thing - but it happened - and it broke the tip off!! I felt sick...I was GUTTED.. I re-tipped it and I have nearly got over it....this knife gets worked!!!

I cannot say enough of Charlies SFO HJ's...I hope you agree that the title of my thread MAGNIFICENT HJ describes these knives!

It is nice to see that knife being used, Duncan! And rescued!! Good save - that knife now has a story behind it!!
And I like your title - always have!!;)

I just grabbed this old Challenge Cut Co on the auction site. The seller said it hadn't been cleaned, we'll see :D Pretty happy to add it to the small HJ collection.
These are captures from the sale.
Best regards

Robin

Thanks Guys, I'm looking forward to getting it in hand. It has about everything you'd want in a good solid working knife, sure glad this one didn't do any work :D

Best regards

Robin
