Hi rarreola,
Nice knife, that model there Sir is a cattle knife, the Harness Jack usually will have two Blades - one a Spear point or Clippoint, and the other " blade" the Punch, both pivoting from the same end.
The Boker looks a great knife with lovely full blades!

Great score, Robin!! Looks right from here!!
I have seen that slightly flawed shield on another knife?? (I think that's what it is?) I will have to look and see if it is one I have here . . . . . .

Thanks for the info Campbellclanman.

Hi Charlie, Here is another shield flaw that I captured from the other forum. There is another interesting flaw on this knife, I'll post pics tomorrow when there's some light.

Best regards

Robin

I've been doing a major re-sort into some new drawers a friend made for me, but have yet to find that flawed shield - I'll keep looking!
Found some nice Harness jacks though - pics later!!

Have I posted this knife before?? Bill at Great Eastern said he would fix a flawed acrylic handle for me, way back in 2012.
He ran out of Tomato acrylic, so he threw this old stag on there!!
:D
I have been cleaning up my safe, and found this where it should not have been!

Wow!!!!!!!
Stag 66. Has a neat ring to it!!!

Nice one Charlie. If you remember my first ever GEC was a this knife but a Jack - not the HJ of course - and that was thanks to you!

Beautiful HJ, Charlie. The stag looks great and it makes perfect sense to me. Smooth pieces of antler are often used as burnishing tools in leatherworking!

Yes, I remember it, Duncan. I have one of those jacks also. They are what attracted me to the 66 pattern!

It would take a while to smooth this stag down, so I could burnish with it, Phillll!

Knarly 66, That's a couple of REEEEEEEEAL nice pieces of Stag - I can only imagine the pride taken by Bill to manufacture a one off for a good friend to him like yourself, just awesome!

Hey addylo - nice knife there! Sir

The single spear Schatt & Morgan heritage jacks utilized that same shield.

Hi Christian
Are you saying with the flaw (upper right "wingtip" is rounded) ? It seems that Challenge cutlery had and used at least two. I searched everywhere to see if more showed up but only found one matching mine. Charlie thinks he has one too. It was maybe a bad die that cut them so when you mentioned S&M I thought maybe they got some flawed shields from the same source.

Best regards

Robin

Ladies and Gentlemen thanks for adding to this Thread...I cannot tell you how hooked up on the HJ I am, I owe much to many great members here helping me build up my collection - be it very small at the moment, but I would like to thank my forum friend for letting me be lucky enough to purchase my two latest off him, here are some of Charlies Great work the FANTASTIC HJ's SFO's from Schatt & Morgan... these are just fantastic, I am NOT happy with pics-it was raining heavy when I took these this morning...but here you go anyway..

First was the Candy Stripe, it's belief that quite a few gassed off in this series ? - I am not too sure, but if anyone else knows about this please feel free to come in and help me, I am sure when I spoke to Perry and Charlie this may have been the case? but this particular one is pristine - originally 1 of 16, now one of?

The second is the Golden Bone or Pickbone model - slight variations, between the knives...just as Stunning.

Wow, I am so proud and Rapt to own another of these knives, Charlies great work has paid off - it seems as though every knife he has something to have a part in the manufacturing - he hits the nail on the head every time - Thank you Charlie

Yep Duncan - seems like everything he has a hand in/on just turns out fantastic!

He missed his calling - he could have been a world renowned knife manufacturer!

These two examples are no exception - they are quite wonderful !:thumbup::)
