Thanks Perry and Charlie! It is an old Harness, Horse Clothing Catalog from 1874 "Moseman's Harness Warerooms" 114 Chambers Street, New York City. The equivalent of an auto parts store today. Everthing from saddles to wagon jacks. Unfortunately no Harness Jacks listed or illustrated in the catalog.

Paul - two VERY nice HJ's- like Perry said that Wallkill is just superb! It's in fantastic shape!
Rusty- mate- nice Ebony HJ- there's something about Ebony in the HJ pattern- they just "click".

Charlie here is your 2005 S&M Harness Jack 042206, 1 of 1 Pearl Teardrop that I promised. I also have the burnt stag handle and the fossil handle ones as well. Pictures to follow in another thread. This pearl is the nicest I have owned. Still mint in the box. Just noticed I forgot to take pics of the punch and box. Ooops!

Hey Paul, that WallKill is amazing!
Perry👏

Beautiful Harness Jack Ronnie. :thumbup::)

As beautiful as I remember it, Ron!
Thanks! At first Bill refused to make those 1 of 1 "specials"!
I quote, "This is a knife factory, dammit!!".

But I think Bill's inherent love of beautiful knives won out!! He made 7 specials I believe.

By the way, I was talking to Bill on Friday, and he had a little time (rare) to chat.
This month, March, 1975, and 18 year old Bill Howard got his first cutlery job at Queen - 40 years ago!!

Except for a short stint in the military, knives have been his career!

Congratulations my friend!!

These are my poor pics of the 7 special HJs he made. I'm sure you can improve on them, Ron!

Thank you for the info my friend. I noticed in your pic that I also have the Tan Bark Mammoth Ivory and the Sambar Burnt Stag one. I think between Dave (Knowtracks) and Perry (singing 46) we own 6 of the 7 shown and produced. I went back and read the thread in AAPK over and over from Dave and was inspired to find one of these. Luckily I met Big Don and the rest is history as they say. I will post picks of the other 2 very soon. Today I hope if the weather works out.

Fantastic pic of all the single made variations. The one of one Ebony would be my grail knife, I have a specimen of all the others Charlie had made in Ebony except of course the teardrop.

That's a beauty! It is an ongoing want on Duncan's behalf and a not sure of letting it go on mine. Some things are just too special when gifted by the creator. Thank you again Charlie!! Plus the only ones ever made in 420 HC! The rest were all 1095, after these first HJs!
Perry

Your's is a beauty Perry. I hope I never let go of these I scored. One of a kind is to hard to find. Didn't know they were 420 HC. I learned something new today. Thanks.
