LETS SEE THOSE MAGNIFICENT HARNESS JACKS

Trand - Ooops, that's what you get my friend when you get old like me!

Charlie is in fact the gentleman who started me off loving these knives - HJ's are such a great Jack to have, I am pretty sure that I will have one or two when its time to throw me in the box lol

great looking knife Timber-GEC most certainly placed themselves on the map as a serious contender, I really do consider them one of the best Culters of modern day times-which is a pretty big call, especially with Case still going so strong, but GEC certainly has it
Thanks for showing us

Ulster, Dwight Divine, and the knife is great, a real nice slim HJ...

How rude of me not to contribute to your HJ thread, Duncan!
Please forgive me!!
This is one of my favorites - obviously a safe queen to preserve one of the breed for posterity!
NYK made fine pocketknives - some of the best of their times!!

Charlie you are indeed forgiven my friend - and my.. THAT is one stunning knife -just gorgeous - thank you for sharing with us that beautiful knife!

These last two knives are what dreams are made of! Thanks for the look.

Gevonovich kind Sir - isn't that Hammer Brand something! that I think, is what reaching the top of HJ collecting would be for me to own a knife like that - in saying that, I love my HJ'S - incredibly fantastic knives!

Thanks Duncan, and well you should love your HJs! You have a great selection of desirable knives, and the freedom to use them if you feel like it.

I have to keep that NYK waxed and polished, and free from unfortunate exposure! A mixed blessing!

Ok, it took me a while to realize HJ stood for Harness Jack. Searching "hj knife" on google brings up quite a different idea: Hitlerjugend "Blut und Ehre" knives.

Nice to see those "old" guys again Dave! You have been with me since the beginning!!
Thanks for showing them!!

Here's a little herd of Remingtons. One a double ender. The punches are barely used. I have seen quite a few with broken punches . . .sigh . . .
These are the lucky ones!!

Oh Charlie!! That Kutmaster with the sheepsfoot is the bee's knees! :foot:

Some real nice HJs, and superb examples by Charlie (of course.)

Early transition Winchester with a Napanoch 1908 patent punch blade. The main blade has been cleaned up a bit.

Beautiful old knives being shown here guys, didnt they know how to build simply superb knives in those days - Charlie - I ( and clearly others ) want to thank you for all that you do for us here, and simply the knife world - thank you.
Those Remington's are extra special, Wow!!!!!!

Dave - you took the words straight out of my mouth about Charlies Kutmaster - whenever Kutmaster is mentioned, I always sit up-some people have the view of them being slightly poorly put-together, I certainly dont hold this opinion, and love the Kutmasters I have-Charlies is a beautiful example, you have some beautiful examples of the HJ pattern there my friend!

Mike that Winchester is just great!! what a lucky guy you are, whenever we are lucky enough to view your lovely and very hard to get knives I appreciate it very much, the Bone on the Winchester is something else, and with the knife being cleaned-thankfully a light cleaning job leaving that beauty in still incredible condition.
That Nanopoch Punch is a gorgeous design - King of Punches!

Hey there Robin, that Miller looks just awesome, Millers seemed to do a beautiful job with their Bone - do you know if it was a specific style of Jigg pattern they used? - it seems to be similar through-out their knives, I bought a Miller Jack the other day to go with my HJ Miller I was lucky enough to obtain from Charlie, the Jack is in nice condition, blade play dissapointed me there with the Jack (but I will look into that in the very near future) - I can only imagine what a great day for you opening up that package!
