LETS SEE THOSE MAGNIFICENT HARNESS JACKS

Jack - Great to see the knife here Sir-those Robesones are just great-and I just dont care how worn that Bone is-its extremely beautiful in my eye, I am glad you like it, and hope you enjoy it

I think the bone is lovely Duncan, thanks again my friend

Thanks Jack! I'm really into this one quite a bit. I might just have to throw it in my pocket and put it to use!

 :)

Fabulous, Charlie

+1. Incredible Charlie

Beautiful knives John and Jack,a special pattern.

Thanks Lyle :)

No problem Jack.

Charlie....just picking myself up off the floor and dusting off - Good Grief!!! just look at that beautiful knife, you are indeed a very lucky man, and thank you for sharing with us-and thank you everyone for showing us your gems, it realy is eye candy!

Made by New York Knife Co, for Hibbard, Spencer and Bartlett, and using the OVB (Our Very Best) brand, this one managed to make it to today relatively intact! Older NYK jigging, this is a venerable piece IMO!

That punch was used before WWI, replaced by a "spiral" marked one early in the last century. This one is anywhere from 80 to 110 years old!

if you guys dont mind I just had to quote this to bring this knife to this page to save having to go back (and drool over it).
That is a gorgeous knife-how a knife so old, can be so unused - what a treasure for sure.

Thanks for the comments, my friends:
And for bringing the pictures forward Duncan!
I guess I should wait for the page to "turn" before posting the "candy"!

That's a beauty Eric, that's giving Charlie some competition :). Of course,we wouldn't want to get in a HJ tug of war with Charlie.:)

Congrats on your new goldenroot HJ2. They're mighty fine knives. I use mine when I go outdoors. The punch makes an excellent scraper for my LMF firesteel.

That "tortoise" looks good in the NZ sun, Duncan!!

Nice score, Robin!

That Northfield fits perfectly, rinos!
