LETS SEE THOSE MAGNIFICENT HARNESS JACKS

Yes a real nice one Tim matey!! - each HJ release by Charlie was simply outstanding.
So much thought and care placed into each one and we see the results in every knife.
Frank I’m sorry I got those two mixed up my friend - never the less - it would take a LOT of knife to beat that one!!

pmek5 pmek5 nice one Tim, I have his brother, Charlie's Queen/S&M HJ1, 2 and 3 are just as good if not better than GEC made and IMO that 99 is real close to a GEC 35
Hey Frank, the two knives are pretty comparative!
The #35 is slightly larger than the #99 but slimmer because of its single-spring, double-end configuration. The Queen (S&M) punch has a forged-over edge, while the GEC is thicker, with deep bevels giving it the eccentricity needed to cut round holes!Queen GEC comp EE 1.jpg Queen GEC comp EE 2.jpg Queen GEC comp EE 3.jpg Queen GEC comp EE 4.jpg

And two nice HJ's, I still shudder of my experience with that Punch with the HJ9, I know quite literally how the Bamboo shoots under the Finger Nails worked as a Torture method- the Punch screamed in so far that as a reaction I shook my Hand- And the Punch stayed buried deep under my Nail whilst I shook my hand from side to side - I regretted THAT reaction halfway through it's momentum I can tell you- never had I have had such pain- for days into the weeks after too I can tell you lol.

We are all glad you survived that one, Duncan!!:)
We'd be lost without you!!;)

Glad you managed to dislodge that vicious punch Duncan:eek: Now you know how human nature takes over and we laugh at things we shouldn't, example would be someone walking down hill and they barley stumble and then that turns into them picking up speed and then falling down, certainly not funny but for some not right reason we laugh. That said, is there any chance Sue caught that on video?:D:D

Seriously, I remember that conversation and how bad you said that hurt, again though, did Sue happen to record thato_O:)

Lol. Paul I’m sure I would have to wear Adult nappies to watch that video haha - I laugh all the time about it!!!
But man I tell ya!! Over the years I have had some beauty deep cuts from Knives - but this particular injury stays with me as the clearest and most painful  o_O :(
I am not enjoying the sensations ripping through me as I have a clear memory of my hand reaching the end of the first shake and then the knife catching up a split second later full swing into its swinging momentum lol - ( If you can imagine the end of the Knife swinging - and then what is happening at the pointy end under the nail while the heavy end is being ripped to the side ) I swear it felt like the punch was still buried in there for such a long time :D
As soon as my Brain registered over itself screaming internally I stopped the Shaking of the Hand immediately and I wasn’t sparing a millionth of a second to see if I could safely pull it out - I ripped it out as quick as this poor old fella reactions could go for it lol.
In saying this I have had more bad cuts with strong sprung knives with Half Stops than Spear accidents from the Punch.

I shiver thinking of it Duncan, I think you still winced when you recalled the horror of the incident:eek: Now no where near the pain you experienced but I had one of Charlie's HJ 2's claim a perfectly round flap on knuckle skin while not paying attention when opening. Not to get to gross but that knuckle skin literally flew 4 to 5 inches and landed on my desk with a faint flop sound when it landed:rolleyes: no where near the pain you suffered but because of the location of the wound, it took weeks to healo_O

Charlie, these incidents in no way defame your wonderful HJ's but in fact expose how reckless Duncan and I are with them:oops: obviously, WAY more in Duncan's case:D

Haha- Man I am laughing!
Paul - Now I think we had the conversation of when we cut little bits off our Body like that- it makes a very cool experiment of being a skin Graft expert and slapping that sucker back onto the finger and taping it up.
I have a tiny white spot on my finger where I did that, My girls when they were younger used to love getting my hands and counting the scars - that will be a cool thing to do with Grandkids ( when I get them one day).
Thank you Charlie- I would be lost without you guys thats for sure!
OK...Knife content :)

Campbellclanman Campbellclanman , paulhilborn paulhilborn ; I think I should include a disclaimer, and a box of Band-aids with my next HJ,:D
(if I ever get to make one!)!!:p:eek:
Charlie, the overwhelming consensus among the traditional family would be a resounding yes if the opportunity for you to make another HJ presents itself...the bandaid would be a neat thing to include:D

My most carried HJ of Charlie's is the Teamster Jack, I can't say if that makes it my favorite, to say which HJ is my favorite would be a hard thing for me to actually pin down. I have four of the Teamster Jacks, Two Tomato Acrylic (one a safe queen) then the red jigged bone and an ebony. These two are both gifts from Duncan...see Duncan, you gift me so many YOU forget but not me my friend;)

The tomato is carried the most of the four I own and for obvious reason, I love the size, punch and the Tomato changes endlessly in different light, I love the Tomato:thumbsup: Thank you Duncan!!! the Tomato was today's carry:cool:
