LETS SEE THOSE MAGNIFICENT HARNESS JACKS

Have been on the lookout for Charlie's first HJ for a while, and finally crossed paths with one...

what was the idea with the line or lines down the bone? Just style or was it a tribute to the original patterns?

Congrats Jim for picking up one of the better Harness Knives from modern production- Charlie's HJ's.

Nice Ol' Clip point Remington Harness Jack Augie matey - good looking Knife!

Indian Trail Bone is not raised but the more original version of what some people call worm Groove. Our friend from in Blade Forums Mike Robuck Authored a book called "Gun Traders Guide to Collectable Knives" there's a nice section on Bone Handles!

Neal Punchard as well has written quite a few books on the older knives such as Henckels, Switchblades ( 2 books ), Boker etc

Thanks, Duncan — I’m happy to have found one in such nice condition. 🙂

Have not heard of "Indian Trail" before — looking forward to finding out more about that. Appreciate the book references!
