All of them are carbon blades, except Karesuando (sandvik 12c27)

Just added a BCNW-O1 to the family and I couldn't be more pleased. Feels fantastic in the hand and it's crazy sharp. It's very much a Mora on steroids. Thick O1 carbon steel blade and stabilised bamboo scales that fill the hand perfectly. Can't wait to put it to use.

Here it is along with a few friends, a Blind Horse Knives Boattail Scandi, Entrek Forester and the legendary Mora 510

Haven't received this yet from Mike, but I'm really looking forward to putting this guy to work. 1095 and redwood burl made in California.

This is what I've got for now. It's a Mora 502 (that's what's stamped on it), and the hatchet is a Plumb scout.

The only ones I have are from Blind Horse Knives, both are gunstock Bushcrafts.

Both together with some of my other BHK's.

Compared to the rest, that Entrek looks like a tacticool bushcraft knife, I still like it, must be the black!

If a framelock counts, does a Fiddleback Forge Nessmuk?

I just found a Mora like this one. It's been in a damp basement for at least the past 25 years, so it needs some attention.

I agree totally. I've had mine for almost a year now and it's a keeper.

Can someone tell me about this knife? I really like it.
It's a Teho Tommi, by Kainuun Puukko.
http://www.kainuunpuukko.com/teho-tommi/?vo=0

It's a variation on a classic finnish design that normally has a simplier barrel handle with no guard or notch. The most particular feature of this style of knives is the "diamond" section of the blade that gives a rather thin spine (2,5-3 mm) and thicker sides where the bevels start (4,5-6 mm). This geometry permits to have a sturdy blade with an extremely fine edge. The fineness of the edge is also achieved with the use of "silversteel", like saying Böhler K510, that gets an extremely fine texture (if rightly treated), hold a great edge for a very long time and is also quite resilient, despite the 1,2% C content.

Those knives were born as carvers and hunters, but I could actually baton with mine without problems. No harsh beating or hacking with a Tommi in any case, let the geometry of the blade do the work.

Mine isn't a real proper Tommi due to the lack of the ridged pomell, and is not made by a reknown maker

but I can tell that he really knows his stuffs. He's a blacksmith with 10 years of experience as an hobbystic maker and 2 years as a full-time maker; he's also a part-time wilderness guide and a hunter and hiker from himself. His name: Pasi Hurttila from Ivalo.
