That looks like a beefed up version of the sickles the old timers used to harvest their small sugar cane patches when I was a kid. Even the handle to blade ratio.

I was thinking it was definitely made with a tropical environment in mind. I know I'd love to have one along in such an environment anyway.

Actually that's about the knife from Aitor I like the least. Other than that... they are very well made. I had one in my hands and grinds were too thick to cut well but it could be fixed.
