Lets see what is on your workbench

Whats on my bench right now ?????????
Heck, I haven't seen the bench for months,I guess it is still under there....somewhere.... there is so much stuff piled on it right now.
A quick look shows:

About 20 sgian dubh blades
A dozen or so assorted kitchen blades
Three swords
One Smachette
Four or five hawks
Six fillet knives
Two dozen oyster knives

Can't tell what the rest are, I can only see the tangs sticking out of the pile.

I just finished these three on yesterday evening. I really like making these small damascus fixed blades.

CW,
Thanks a bunch man! I appreciate the compliment. Here is a pic I just took of the smaller Wharnie after some hand sanding last night. It's getting closer, just a little more work to do.....

You know the rules Stacy, pics or it didn't happen :)

I'd post what I've got in progress, but seeing as I haven't finished a knife in something like 2 1/2 years, I'm not sure where many of them are...Next time I get to the shop I'll snap some pics of the in progress damascus and what knives I can find. It's too cold and dark to try and get the pics now :)

I have knives in progress all over the place.
I'm actually almost finnished building the work bench :)

Well I have several knives in pieces tucked away in boxes right now to make room for this on my bench...

And I thought I had shop envy when I saw Nick Wheeler's joint...

I'm shamed beyond embarrassment to share any shop pics with y'all now.

Or ever, probly.:D

I'll post some "in progress" pics later tonight. I'm headed back out to put the finishing touches on the last of a 20 plus batch.

Keep grinding fellers!

Heres a quick pic of a few I have waiting to be finished and a couple for sheaths. Im a hammer and file guy so output is slow at the best of times.

And here's a couple of pics of a few just finished.

No pics of the shop at present but a couple 0f 5x8's would cover it, I can assure you I wouldn't evoke any shop envy.

As promised,

This weeks production run. The bottom three to the left still need a run or two against a 400 grit Gator before they go out tomorrow. Some will be straight edge, some hawkbill after heat treat.

I would have finished them off, but I started making consecutive mistakes and I've learned that means it's a wrap for the day. My eyes can focus up close only so long...

Ok, without further delay, here they be.

Loads of LifeBlades (and assorted custom work)

Hi Johnny,

That is a really neat little design you have there! Very clean work too. I'm a huge fan of the Wharncliffe blade geometry, so I'm pretty much a sucker for anything built around that design.

Sanding can almost make me not like being a knifemaker sometimes...:D

Take care and keep up the good work!
