Let's see with wish list's, WITH PICS!

The top two for me right now are 1. A GB Wildlife Hatchet and 2. Either a Duluth or Alder Stream Canvass rucksack to hold my bush gear.

Realistically, what I really wish for is more time to enjoy the outdoors. I would love to be able to split for a month of canoeing and hiking up north, or maybe out west. I'm pretty well set for gear - I just need the opportunity to use it!

But, since we're talking about Stuff I Want, here goes:

An Off the Map Skog Kniven. Gorgeous traditional design, with curves in all the right places. Curly maple handles would be a nice touch.

A Frontier Bowie from North River Custom Knives, with a nice period sheath.

One of Dan Koster's Nessies. I have had my eye on these for a long time. Great interpretation of the design.

A Bushknife from Rick (Wildertools), with a wrapped handle and plenty of forge markings on the blade.

A JK Kephart, with walnut handles and a fire pouch built into a drop sheath.

Oh, and a kick-ass 72" belt grinder with contact wheel and platen, heat treat oven, and a few blocks of birds eye maple, desert ironwood, and bog oak!

All the best,

- Mike

I'm going to have to agree with you there mike...that list looks pretty damn good to me. I have two little knives from North River, love'em. I will be getting me a kephart from Stomper by the end of the year, damn fine knife.

Buck Vanguard
Full size Griptillion plain edge
Kimber 45ACP.

Not to burst your bubble but my buddy has one of these his is a match grade gunsmith custom ( I think) but he also has a standard smith .45 acp and the smith outshoots the kimber everytime. If you can find someone with a kimber so you can shoot it before you drop the 1800 bucks I would definately recommend it.

Right now im lusting after something from Simonich knives. Either a salish, urban raven or the buck/simonich raven legacy. http://www.simonichknives.com/midtech.htm

Once i get make up my mind on the knife I will be getting myself a 14" barrelled Norinco/Remington 870 for a backpacking companion for next summer. http://www.marstar.ca/gf-norinco/images/N870-14.00-800px.jpg
Those are cool but Marstar seems to be perpetually out of stock.
:grumpy:
Would love one outfitted with some ghost ring sights.
Hmmm i know they are legal to own because they meet the minimum overall length law but are they ok for wilderness carry?
Isn't there a barrel length minimum for hunting?
I'm hoping i'm wrong on that, lol.

How compatible are the parts with the Remington 870?

The list is always too long.

I'm waiting for my LRB M14 Tanker, but of the things I haven't actually purchased/ordered a Kifaru XRay is at the top of the list.

That's funny; move #8 higher and you won't need half your list :D

1. Ducati Desmosedici
2. Pinzgauer
3. About 20 acres in a certain spot I know and enough money that I never had to work again.
4. GB Outdoors Axe
5. Feathered Friends Winter Wren

At least 4 and 5 are obtainable.

It sounds to me like there's something wrong with his Kimber. I have 3 and know several people that own them and every one is a tack driver. Oh, and they don't all cost $1800.....I have less than that in all three of mine put together.

I have a huge wish list, but I just got two near the top of the list. Thank Blade West.

I am very fortunate also to have recently received a Brian Andrews Bushcraft, possibly the best knife I own for actual general use (I have an okidan sharp thing II that is the best hunting knife).
