Let's see your Charlie SFOs

I have not enjoyed a thread this much in quite awhile, probably since the epic Barlow GAW. I truly needed this today.

Thank you Gents for making this place so cool.

Chris

Lol, Hey I thought I would bring us back to the knives themselves or at least back to this one. As I said before this was originally a Waterfall Cell that began to outgas a bit so I had consulted Charlie and few others I knew at the time, to see what my next step should be. He liked the stag option and so did I so here it is. While no longer a 1 of 2 waterfall, at least you can see the wonderful craftsmanship and quality of this SFO Schatt HJ. Some nice fatty stag on this courtesy of muskrat man in 2006.

Thank you so much, Duncan and Paul! I hope that Duncan and all the rest know that all the past posts I made were all in fun only. Love you guys! The closed length is right at 3 1/2 closed.

I remember discussing this with Kaleb at the time. I decided to go with less of a burn to the stag. I told him I wanted more that Olbertz or Bulldog Brand of stag on it.

My Check and TC Barlow collection is in the mail Duncan:thumbup:
:D:D:D

Great stuff Paul - if you could send me the track and trace when you are ready Sir!:D

Duncan, It's a good thing you have a history around these parts. Sketchy at best, but a history none the less! ;)
Gary!! of all the people.... you surprise me - Sketchy? :( :D

I'm in!! Thanks for the opportunity, sir :D

Heres a man who knows a good deal, please send me your bank account details my friend - so we know how to transfer the money to you ;)

Lol. I've been around long enough to have seen it all before. And, truth be told, if forgery would get me a sheepfoot charlow in that beautiful yellow-brown bone, I would have tried it too. 😏

Michael

Try?.... try what

:D

Knife content added.....

Would I be correct to say that Charlie had something to do with these knives????......

Duncan summed it up best Perry:thumbup: Great place, great people and great fun:)

Ok, I made to page 17 and I am blown away. I want to collect as many of Charlies pieces that I can find. I have two HJ's and 11 TC Barlows. What a great guy to collect. You will not find a nicer guy. I'll read more tomorrow. The thrill of the hunt is what helps to keep us focus. I also learn so much from this forum. I want to thank each and every one of you who contribute to this forum and especially the Barlow and SFO threads.

I'm looking forward to seeing Branton Knife Company's take on this pattern, Bobby!!!

Couldn't agree more and thank you all for putting up with my and Duncan's jabs at each other. Proud to add you as a friend now, Paul!
Bobby, I know the feeling all too well. It's always difficult to know which ones to jump on versus what's coming down the road. Charlie genuinely knows these older patterns very well and I would like to be able to read his mind but that's impossible. The only thing you're left with is,,,,"Please Sir, I Want Some More!

Folks, this thread is in the main discussion forum. That means that it's supposed be about knives. Other palavering needs to be in the Lounge.

Also, please watch the acronyms. If one of the letters stands for a word which is not acceptable here in Traditional, please find some other way to express yourself.

The Radio Jack seems like an afterthought, Charlie's response to those crying out for a "Beerlow." But it has become one of my favorite knives ever: the brass liners, the bolsters, the diamond UN-X-LD shield, all on the now classic 15 frame. The screwdriver and caplifter makes it arguably the most practical or useful knife in the Waynorth SFO arsenal. I carry it more often than any other knife.

I hope Charlie will return to this one in the future. Wouldn't a sheepfoot Radio Jack be a thrill! Or a clip blade!

I do like those Radio Jacks. I have one in red bone, and narrowly missed an ebony one like yours, Dr. Scott. Very nice!

Ahh, so many CC SFO's, so few paychecks. :)

Hey Charlie, not trying to get inside your head,,,,,,,well ok maybe a little but will there ever be a time when you might do a pocket worn run of knives? Kind of like this old D&E Jack you sold me for .35, at the OKCA show in 2011. I was thinking about a marriage of the diamond shield and a Barlow pattern in a pocket worn handle material even. Snagglepuss,,,,OUT!:D

I cleaned up my buddy's grandfather's Case Muskrat for him and in our talking I made the mistake of sending him a pic of my Charlow. Now he really wants one! :)
