I'm awww'd by your lovely wordsOf all of our premium CPK leather benders,Lorien has the leanest style. I truly appreciate that, especially on a knife you want to keep concealed, yet secured, until things go seriously sideways.
I have one of his prototype sheaths for the Boot Knife. I am still awed every time I take it out.

well, shipping is going to cost more because I'll have to use Fedex instead of postal. It's the only service that allows for collect payment of any potential duties or tariff.Have to ask : how are the tariffs going to affect our Canadian leather benders?
Amen!^ There is so much to unpack inLorien ‘s post that no one emoji seems appropriate.
Despite all the governments’ induced confusion, I will continue to support Lorien for the important work that he does regardless of the red tape.

I’m trying out this Sagewood Gear dangler on Lorien’s HDFK sheath. Looks to be a pretty decent setup so far.
I have a bunch of those sheath attachments from Sagewood to run on Pirtle and the stock kydex sheaths, never had any issues at all. I’ve even cut the tab down and drilled new holes in some to get a little higher ride height.
Nice! Have you been able to refine your Shiv sheath yet?^seeing pics of some of my earlier work sometimes makes me cringe. But I remind myself that if someone is making use of it or otherwise enjoying it, then mission accomplished
I've begun development of the second iteration of the DEK1 sheath, btw, and it's a nice refinement of the original design.
To you who have contacted me requesting sheaths, things are starting to roll.

I'm working through shipping and tariffs and whatnot, so I'll be in contact with you peeps once I have things nailed down. In the meantime, it's full steam ahead.
I have to pay for a new roof for our house this winter, so my dreams of sewing leather with a machine are on hold for now. This means I'll continue hand stitching for a while longer.
I'll be building templates for that around the same time as the DEK1 redesign, which will come after I complete and ship this batch of sheaths. Maybe in a couple months. It'll be designed for machine sewing, so production will begin once I can afford a machine. Hoping this dovetails with the release of the khukuri- I intend to develop a scabbard for that at the same time.Nice! Have you been able to refine your Shiv sheath yet?
