^ seeing pics of some of my earlier work sometimes makes me cringe. But I remind myself that if someone is making use of it or otherwise enjoying it, then mission accomplished
I've begun development of the second iteration of the DEK1 sheath, btw, and it's a nice refinement of the original design.

To you who have contacted me requesting sheaths, things are starting to roll.

I'm working through shipping and tariffs and whatnot, so I'll be in contact with you peeps once I have things nailed down. In the meantime, it's full steam ahead.

I have to pay for a new roof for our house this winter, so my dreams of sewing leather with a machine are on hold for now. This means I'll continue hand stitching for a while longer.

Can’t wait to see the new DEK 1 sheath design, I feel the DEK 1 sheath you built for me is about as perfect as it gets. Amazing tiny footprint, looks anwesome, and a great fit.

Is that a custom clip you make/designed, etc.? If so, you should really consider selling them as a stand alone item.

No, I spend hours scouring various suppliers looking for new mounting solutions. When I find one that looks promising I order a couple and do some testing. Rarely I am happy with one, but when I am I order more to have supply on hand for my customers.

The market is flooded with cheap junk that I can't recommend, so I have a literal box full of clips, mounts and widgets that will never see a sheath. I got a similar one to these at the same time and it is thick bent soft steel with a painted finish, sold for about $2 less.. garbage.

These clips are hardened 420HC, and advertise the black as TiN coating. The hardware is custom and rebated into the clip so they are not a drag point when in use. I try to buy American whenever I can but these are made in China, but I consider them made to high-end American standards.
