The 102 & 119 are new to me, the 120 just came back from Bucks Spa Treatment, they do an amazing job, it had been run over by a truck and was in really bad shape, they brought it back to almost new condition.

@ReaperAL has commissioned a number of kitchen knives from custom maker, Nicholas Nichols of North Carolina. A few months ago, AL very kindly sent me one of the latest he'd had made. My mail box was suddenly closed at the beginning of the lockdown here, and this has wreaked havoc with incoming mail. Fortunately Al's parcel arrived just before the closure, but I was only able to finally get my hands on it a couple of days ago.

Thanks to Al, I'm very much looking forward to using this one, and it makes a great companion piece to the other Nichols knife Al generously gifted me a few months back, which has been a great kitchen companion

Thank you, Jack! What's funny is that I used to have a shirt when I was a teenager - black with orange flames on it (I thought I was pretty cool then ).

With regards to the knife, I really like it, despite it being a bit more colorful than I care for. Dyed Maple burl with Inox bolster, spacers, and endcap and an Elmax steel blade (not all that familiar with that steel but I have heard it is pretty stellar).

Todor Hristov is the maker.

Saturday's new puukko. Strangely, whoever cut and fitted the handle didn't put anything over the blade end of it. I stuffed some epoxy putty into the pores, and into the cracks, and coated the whole handle with a clear epoxy finish (almost dry).
