With my very limited knife knowledge I have no idea. Looks like it would be a handy user and comfortable in the hand, although I'd be hesitant to put it too much use and mess up that cool blade etch if it were mine.

This KA-BAR 1207 was found in the trash and saved for me, it was pretty rough from mere neglect but not heavy use and was certainly not dead.








The blade appeared to be very full, definitely not sharpened a ton.

I'd say the knife is luckier than I am.
It could have never been found, or it could have wound up with somebody who would probably take some sandpaper or a bench grinder to the blade.

I'm trying to save the sheath, but I'm not sure it can be at this point.

The sheath looks terrible and I'd never want to use it if I was going to carry this knife, but I was able to save it.
It's still a functional sheath that will cover the blade until I decide to make or buy something for it, I think I'd probably just buy one of those inexpensive generic Mexican made sheaths that are readily available online.

The current KA-BAR marine hunter seems to be an almost identical copy of this knife, so maybe a replacement sheath for that one is available and will work.
