I don't remember what I used mine for. Probably mostly string and lawn stuff bags. It needed some sharpening when I re-found it.

I tried to google this Colt to see if it was made in USA, but I can't find anything at all on it. (Blade says Colt USA, but not "Made in".)

Speaking of tantos, this is a nice, heavy little knife of mysterious but well-fitting construction.

Based on the fact that the modern Colt brand knives don't say USA ( they specifically say CHINA ) while this one does and the sheath is MADE IN USA I believe it's a safe assumption that this knife is American made.
At least I would have no problem assuming so.
I would not be surprised if it's from the same manufacturer of the S&W knives from the 80's-90's.
I don't know who that might be, but Camillus would not surprise me.
It would also not surprise me if United Cutlery had them made.
