Excellent as always! 🤠

Got some good mountain man kit there buddy! B  🤠
Thanks David, I need to get back to the mountains 👍
Jack, your new FB looks very much like what I've read the original Bowie knife as used in the Sandbar Fight probably looked like, although with possibly a longer blade than yours. Very nice!
Thanks Jeff, I reckon so my friend 👍

Oh man I haven't seen one of these without a metal pommel. Man it looks KILLER!
Thanks :) It could be in angry hands:D:eek: I think the ones with a pommel are a different pattern, slightly bigger? Will try and look it up, it's a really keen thin ground knife obviously not for heavy camp tasks battening etc...but excellent for fish, game or food prep outdoors.

Cold Steel Commercial Series, which means you have to buy the sheath separately. I had to get it from a separate vendor, and the postage was more than the sheath. But worth it to not have to carry any sheath that I might make.

That kerf in the throat squeezes the handle instead of snapping onto it. I think it's an improvement.

Love this Thread, I am going to wait when Jeff posts he is on holiday, fly over - totally raid his house of his amazing Sheath Knife collection, Hire a Barge that can handle huge tonnage and hunker down for the voyage back to New Zealand- Yup... That's the plan!

Alan- I may have sliced my eyes just looking at the Blade profile of that mean looking blade- Wow!

Nice score Jer 👍

Nice score Jer 👍
Thanks. I'm entranced by the blade shape.
Maybe I'll appreciate the long hollows in the handle more when I'm fighting a giant electric penguin in the Sahara.

Though a narrow blade works better in a broad place than a broad blade works in a narrow place.

I'll be carrying this generous gift to watch New Scandinavian Cooking.
