The fish like handle scales are so unusual and striking……
I ordered the scale material from G-carta, known as "Brookie by Mikie", and had it shipped directly to David Mary Custom in Canada for my custom build.

Back when I got this knife and rehandled it in walnut I was never too happy with how thin the grip came out, I liked the shape and everything but it was too thin.

Instead of wasting the walnut and going through the trouble of a rehandle, I just added some leather to it this morning.

It feels great, and I think it looks pretty good too.

at least it's an original " ORIGINAL BOWIE KNIFE" and not one of those knockoffs made in Pakistan, nobody want's a non original " ORIGINAL ( not really original ) BOWIE KNIFE ".

If I remember correctly when I bought this off Ebay the seller description was " an authentic original ORIGINAL BOWIE KNIFE, not a cheap reproduction from China "

Very nice job on the leather work!

A Sonoran Hunter I built for the a cross the street neighbor, well if we had as street. We actually live on an Avenue which I often thought was pretty presumptuous of our rutted gravel road! Anyhoo it's for Tom.

He wanted one of my extra large Boot Sheaths for it as he likes to clip it to the tool holder on his Carhartt coveralls.

Would it fit at all in the standard length boot sheath? ('Cause this is likely the next knife I'll buy)

Yesterday's carry. SwissHeritageCo SwissHeritageCo , this massive dangler sheath for the Roselli leuku is going great. I like the shackle hardware you use because it lets me swap out the leather loop for a hook. With a belt, the loop is perfect, but with a Carhartt coverall suit I need to hook the sheath onto a pocket or hammer loop. Other times, it is helpful to be able to use the hook for removing the rig to get into a vehicle (giant leukut don't play well with seatbelts 😸). Fishing and hiking, though, the hook could get dislodged on flora, so it's loop only there.
