Let's see your good old basic fixed blades, Bowie's, Stickers, etc.

My $10 gravel-pit Buck. It actually had some rust on it, so I keep it in the plastic scabbard.

Bargain

This took one of my best friends a while to make. It was his first. A farrier rasp turned into a very cool piece. I had always wanted something like this and he was just starting to get into tempering etc., so, I hit him up with my idea. This is his interpretation of my ideas. He hit it out of the park style wise. I had to promise to return it after sharing, as he had some edge finishing he wants to do. At 16 1/2”, she’s a hakdfull! I may work the handles a bit more to fit my hand, and make a kick ass sheath for it. Probably a leather scabbard type with a hanging loop and leg tie. Anyway, I dig it.

Make him sign it, so when he's famous you'll be rich.

My latest creation. It’s carbon steel abd offset beveled chisel grind edges that I smoothed out on the final grind. It’s not tempered as hard as would have liked but it was my first try at tempering a blade from scratch. I made the scales out of a hickory limb I gathered the other day. I threaded the scales and rivet holes in the tang and used machine screws to hold the scales in place. I’ll get a scabbard for it made and it’ll be ready for carry. IMG_5687.jpeg

The broad one looks interesting, too.

This one is carbon steel. It can't have been at all used when I bought it.
