Let's see your good old basic fixed blades, Bowie's, Stickers, etc.

Pertinux...That's a great looking knife and to get it in a GAW is even better. Love the hamon line on this. I've been liking the above 7 inch knife for general use in the kitchen

Very nice! Love the Green River knives, and the checkered handles are classic, looking good!

I'm really digging this bowie, can you tell me the maker?

I'm very sorry for the late reply.

Thank you and that Warner Moran Bowie was made by Blackjack back in the early 90's.

Yup, I'm talking about the 165s. There's one in an antique store near here, but a little too worn for the price. It just feels so right in the hand.
Some day I'll find one at a garage sale of a bitter divorcee.

Thanks. :) Funny thing is, I bought it with the intention of using it.

Good luck to you, but if you find one that calls your name, I say jump on it before it gets away. ;)

Jack, if it weren't for all the silver, this would be very like a French kitchen utility knife. It's stainless (inox.), and has a twisted bugle that I assume is a trade mark.
There are a couple of pictures on the round-the-world must-have traditionals thread.
I think it would look swell tucked in the cummerbund or waistcoat at a black-tie barbecue.

Thanks for the info SP. Has it sharpened up OK? I picked this one up the other week (also with the bugle and Inox marks), but haven't attempted to sharpen it yet, there's virtually no edge on it, and I was unsure about the steel quality.

I remember that one- I thought those dark spots looked like failed plating.
Mine has good, even grind lines on it, but the edge is a little flattened in places. I haven't tried to sharpen it yet, in part for fear of scratching up the etched tableaux- I'll have to be careful.
On one side, three guys have something on a rope that looks like a giant kangaroo, or maybe a bunyips. Probably a horse, though.
