Let's see your good old basic fixed blades, Bowie's, Stickers, etc.

I have been working on this knife for a while. When I bought it it was very rough finished and had more rounded handles and rough ground acid etched blade. It is now true and smooth as glass with exception of the very sharp cutting' edge. 1095 steel with forced patina and vivid hamon and walnut handles, 7.8" OAL:

Great pictures I have totally enjoyed this thread:thumbup: thanks for posting. I just edited this post because I have no idea where "cut it out" came from except my Kindle must have had a spell check brain XXXX you know what I mean.

At .198" ... this guy still has a hair popping edge. One pass and bald.

Beautiful piece, Primble! Your collection of fixed blades is really something to behold! Great harmon.

Beautiful, Matt. What steel did you use?

Really good looking knife, Primble.

Matt, that looks good to me. 1084 is a great steel. Good choice.

I picked this one up yesterday at a show. It's ground nice and thin and will make a great slicer in the kitchen!
