I also have a Swamp Rat Battle Rat, Barkriver Bravo 1 and fox river, a Busse Game Warden and Fallkniven F1 in my main fixed blade user line up.

I like Fobus, good stuff. What's a box of 9x18's running these days? And hows that trigger pull?

Oh, (to keep on topic), what's the blade length of that larger Busse?

I bought a crapload of 9x18 back when I bought the pistols (2 Bulgarian Maks), so I haven't priced the ammo lately. The guns, however, have gone up from about $100 unissued to about $250 used. Supply market seems to have dried up.

Just doing an internet search on the ammo... Wolf seems to run about $9 per box of 50. Also interesting is that Winchester seems to be putting out a "white box" 9x18. Almost double the price though.

Trigger pull is good on the two I own. And that Busse is a 10"-er.

Hi Stingray, I'm curious about that sheath mate, it looks like it is made just by cutting and folding a piece of leather with no stitching to it??

Do you have any directions on how to do it? :)

It sure is mate. Here is a link I used to make it, just make sure you cut it out right, or when you fold it, the leather will be rough side out(ask how I know).
I added the single stitch in the middle of the belt loop to make the belt loop the size of my belt, so the whole sheath doesn't ride up when you try and draw your knife. I also added that loop at the top, because of the design of the sheath, the topheavy knife wants flip upside down, the loop keeps the knife rightside up and close to your body.

Thats a nice knife!
How thick is it and did you have to reprofile it?

Ilbruche,

I have the Bahadur also, and I think this is a great chopper. Does the little square notch at the base of the blade bother you ? I have read where some folks shy away from squared off places because of the liklihood of developing a stress riser. As thick as this blade is, I don't think it is that big a deal but I would like to here the opinion of other owners.

Chad

Chef, the spine is 1/4" at the base of the blade. It tapers front to back. Didn't have to reprofile it.

Meat, I don't know why it is there but I don't see it as a problem. The steel is 1/4" thick in that area. If you removed the protrudung part you wouldn't even notice it.

I thought that looked like a Gene Ingram logo/mark on the second knife. I had just never seen an Ingram with that handle shape.

Great knives stuartyr! A Gene Ingram #6 is on my short list. Prbably right after my wife cools down, which will be after my first custom arrives some time after January. I'm thinkin' somewhere around May... if I'm lucky :p:D.

I'm hoping you ordered that Ingram last year, he's currently at least two years out...
