Thanks guys! It's the OD paracord that came with it and International Orange 550. The stuff that comes with it seems thinner than the company that has the military contract or whatever. That's where the orange came from.

Some guy on YouTube.. He calls it the basketweave... He has two or three others too that aren't bad.

It's pretty easy to do. I wrapped until the ends were in the opening instead of at the end and used a very thin zip tie. That way, the bottom of the knife has no knots.

Nothin' fancy. I piled some extra length in the hole; when I want a lanyard or extra grip length, I just pull it out.

That could be read very nastily I suppose
