I can never say this without sounding new-agey, but, honestly, there is something about this knife. When I hold it I feel something I don't feel with any of my other knives. It is just a pure joy. It is flawlessly made, but there is more than that to it...a few more pics...

I was wondering what knife this is?

Rather than a simple before-and-after of a more developed patina, I thought I'd show these less-than-consistent developments, early in these knives' lives at my hands.

The darker spot on the barlow's blade is the result of slicing a grapefruit with it and then wandering off before remembering to wipe down the knife; the Northwoods' decorative lace is from cutting up onions and then leaving the knife in 'em until I'd finished my meal-- more intentional than the first (which was an outright Oops), but a more dramatic effect than I'd anticipated.

I look forward to seeing how these knives look upon further use. Give or take some oopsies.

I was wondering what knife this is?

I saw this original post last year and thought.. "Wow.... What a beautiful & simple knife". If GEC or any other quality mfg'er would reenact this I'd be all over it!

Those are some real beauties, Jason. Glad they are getting some pocket time and getting to cut things.

An 85 to follow an 85...how nice is that. Love the patina look.......

My son's EDC peanut (true EDC, as in he uses no other knife). I took these pictures when he was home on Christmas break.
