Let's see your Peanuts & their Patinas

I think it looks better with the use you have given it, its well traveled :-) Jack if you look at the first post in this thread it is in my picture.

Pete

Thanks Pete, and thanks for the heads-up :)

My 'nut is kinda funny looking right now- the large blade quickly accumulated a nice patina from cutting apples, etc. but the pen blade, which I use much less commonly, still looks exactly the same as it did when I bought it. I'll upload a picture soon.

It's been just about 19 months of every day carry for my peanut, I was looking at the scales and they seem to be showing signs of being pocket worn, so I looked at my original post and I can really see it on the pile side.
Here it is today

Seems like most people around here carry a peanut everyday or casually, so thought it would be neat to see how people's patinas develop. I have two my Case Chestnut which is a little over six months old and used daily, my second is a Kabar flea market find that I picked up sometime in the middle of May.

Pete very kindly gifted me his Ka-bar Peanut. Here's a pic taken about 6 months ago. Nice to be able to see the Peanut in Pete's posts and to know the patina has been put on by both of us :)

Nice Jack, happy it is in your pocket, instead of on my nightstand. Looks like its been put to some good work.

I believe this deserves to be brought back to life again. Here's mine after two months of daily carry and use.

My four CV peanuts. The red is just a couple weeks old with only about a week pocket time. A couple of the others need some love, lol

Forgot all about this thread,

ISKRA- your nut is coming along nicely
Duderubble- nice collection

Here's some more recent pictures, I'm just shy of 5 years of every day carry, I use my peanut for everything, pruning vegetables, carpentry, general fix it and tinkering repairs etc. I very rarely need a larger knife.

Love these peanuts in CV and I would have a hard time passing by any of them I don't already have that I encounter for sale. That's how I got the latest one in red, I knew they were in production but had managed to avoid them until at a Case knife festival a couple weeks ago there they were for $35. walked by twice, but not the third time.
