My neck-knife, Ahti Puukko's "Korpi". I believe the same brand is sold in the US as "Kellam's Wolf Pack".

Here's a butt-ugly bandsaw blade and hammer handle puuko. Sharp as the dickens.... :)

Here's the most basic puukko Ive got... 4" curly birch handle, 3,5" blade. I'll need to make a sheath for it though. The blade is from Vilppola, the handle I made myself.

Hi,

Here's the only one I've made (i.e. put a handle on):

scandi.jpg

This one is incoming from Arizona Custom Knives; it's a forged blade by Stuart Smith:

I have many Moras, and a Ahti Pukkofly as well. I really like the Ahti Pukkofly for work around the yard cutting fertilizer bags, garden hoses, etc.

But my pride and joy puukko is my Muskrat Man in L6 with osage. It takes an awesome edge, keeps it and feels great in the hand. I've since removed the micro bevel and put it down to a true scandi edge.

TAH,

Sorry I missed your question... I don't know who the maker is, the only marking is a very small symbol.. Its a great cutter!

how do you like the handle on that wood-jewel riley? looks a little odd to me, but i have been surprised before.

Hollowdweller...WOW, thats some nice steel my friend.:thumbup:

is that a locally-made blade, or are they more easily available?

Vilppola is a professional puukko-smith, Im sure his willing to sell abroad also. His homepage is http://www.saunalahti.fi/knivesc/index.htm. The English site seems to be under construction, but if you wanna browse the site, heres a few translations:

tuotteet = products
käyttöpuukot = utility puukkos
keräilypuukot = collectable puukkos
terät = blades
miekat = swords
korut = jewelry

Now this knife has character and screams, USE ME. The rest of the knives are gorgeous, but this one looks like an old friend.

m,

I was so interested in your knife, that I posted its photo on a different Scandinavian knife forum. Of course, they liked it and wanted to know who made it. :rolleyes: :D

If you can describe the symbol and approximate age, those Scandi guys might know the maker.
