Lets see your puukkos!

My three most recent projects:
Lauri Laplander carbon, Frosts #2 laminated carbon, Polar 95 carbon. I really enjoy the simple stick tang builds, it is relaxing for me & I love Scandis in general.

Hey Chad,
Yup I made them. Top was some scrap oak & poplar. Middle is birds eye maple & bubinga and same for the bottom, and the fittings/spacers. The laplander is the one that I slipped with and went to the bone on my finger a few weeks ago. It is so sharp, I never felt it. Thanks for the comments!

W:eek:W!!!

THAT is a beeeaauuuty!! I might have to look into their products after having a look at that one... Great looking blade my man!

Thanks :)

I'm still awaiting its arrival... just bought it about a week ago. Everything is frozen here anyways, so not as much opportunity to get out and use it.

Here are mine. From top:

Aito Puukko by Iisakki Jarvenpaa

Custom handled from LC Patrick. He sells his stuff on eBay. Has a scandi knife supply store on there and from time to time puts up blades he's put handles on. Goes by the name of patrickknives on eBay in case any of you are interested.

Kellam Wolf Pack Slasher. I fooled with the handle a bit get it to form to my hand better and I put a semi-gloss coat on it.

Ingemar Nordell custom. You can't see it in the photo, but that handle has amazing chatoyance. The 3-D depth in the grain on that knife handle is the deepest of any in my possession. I just love looking at that handle at different angles and seeing the cat's eye effect of the wood. It's the only one of my puukkos that haven't seen use.

A question about the Charlie Ridge puukko... how can one find more of his knives? And a 2nd question... how can one contact him about ordering a similar knife?

Many thanks!

AJ

I thought I'd actually add some more puukko eye candy to the mix. Here's one I got late last year from Peter Berggren...
