Did you manage to fix the deformation, or is ot permanent?

I can almost completely fixed it with vice-jaws. :) At ~55-57 HRC (according to the company's specs) the 8cr13moV steel not broke apart at all. The CRKT Drifter (it IS originally the SRM 707 :D) also bear that kind of punishment.

One of our hardcore forumite (Glasser "The Barbarian" :D) even pounded the handle with a hammer, but the 710's lock didn't give it up...

(You could see some heavy Spyderco abusement in the picture too. ;))

Well I finally got around to prepping some pics to post.
I have a NAVY K-615 440C, Navy K502, Sanrenmu 710 in black and in SS, Sanrenmu 401, Sanrenmu GB-763, Bee L05 and have an Enlan EL02B and EL01A coming.
I find the Bee L05 to be the nicest of them all. The deployment is smooth as butter and it's the most comfortable to hold out of the group.
I find the SanRenMu K502 to be the worst of the bunch because I find that the blade can deploy in pocket.
It's only after I bought it that I noticed that the K-615 looks like the Bladetech Pro-Hunter Magnum. It stays in my car emergency kit.
I haven't noticed any blade play in any of them, though I haven't really used any of them other than the GB-763 a couple times. I bought these out of curiosity but mainly to have as beaters or loaners because I don't lend out my "real" knives to anyone.

In the first pic from left to right:
Spyderco Caly3 (one of 2 I have), Sanrenmu 401, Sanrenmu 710 SS, Sanrenmu 710 in black, Bee L05, Navy K502, Navy K-615 and the Manix2.

I think some of the $14 Bee's and Enlans are almost in to $17 CRKT Drifter territory.
I love my Drifter, I can hardly find any fault with it fit and finish wise and the action is really smooth, I only have a $6 SRM 710 (when blade centered waay to tight, when reasonably smooth the blade almost rubs against the scale) but the Drifter is much better.
I wonder how the $14 Bee and Enlans will fair against the $17 Drifter. (or $16 CRKT Lake 111)
Granted the $14 ones have axis locks.

Edit.
What did you mean by "it IS originally the SRM 707"?

Either that or people like Plantarz or whatever his name is are actual delusional, borderline racist, hate filled balls of rage who all slipped off their meds simultaneously.

What the blithering hell is spewing out of your ignorant blowhole?

Nice version: I said my peace and left you kiddies to play in your knockoff sandbox because there was nothing more I could say, and any more would have been like hammering a nail with a fish. I'm usually not a hothead, but one thing that always pisses me off is knockoffs. Usually I just say something like "don't support knockoffs", or just stay out of the discussion entirely, but the fact that you lot are parading them in front of the people who make this industry what it is really pisses me off. Knockoffs and counterfeits are immoral, often illegal, and always detrimental to the knife industry. Either you lot are simply incapable of comprehending this, or you simply choose not to because you like that you can get cheap knives. Whatever.

But don't even hint at insinuating that I'm in the slightest bit racist towards anybody or any country. Outside of the fact that I don't approve of knockoffs and counterfeits, or the discussion of knockoffs and counterfeits on a site that's supported by the very people that are being knocked-off and counterfeited, you don't know DAMN thing about me, nor have I given you, or anybody on this forum (or elsewhere in the world) any reason to think that I might be racist.

Obviously, another thing that sets me off is being unjustly accused without base of being racist or bigoted.

Take it back. Now.

I am closing this thread and will issue more infractions when I have time.

We have simple rules here. I suggest people follow them.

This forum is about knives. Want to talk about politics, economics, production of non knife related stuff and bash each other there are better places to do those childish things.

Discouraging. 186 posts and all this trolling. Simple response to it: IGNORE. Responding is just trolling in itself, off-topic, destroying the thread you think you're defending. How are moderators supposed to slog through a thread like this picking out trolls when both sides are doing it?
