Let's see your Scout/Camp knives

Indeed it does, thank you. The catalog knife from '93 was a Winterbottom bone, so this is likely an SFO. There appears to be at least one SFO of these knives (with the round shield) circa 2004 (based on other knives I have seen), and I was trying to determine if this knife came from that order. It seems not. Does your red knife without the bail say 2004 on the blade?

Waynorth, Are small scouts rare, or just Diamond Edge? I have a small, inexpensive Imperial, plastic scales, hollow tabbed bolsters, etc. that I mic'd at 3.4 inches long, not including the bail. (~3 13/32") I'm guessing you must have several in your extensive collection. Btw, I, too like that jigging.

I think they are pretty rare!! I believe I have one or two smaller Girl Scouts!!

Nice one, I like the jigging. Who do you think made it? I'm not good at identifying the different jigged bone sources, except for the obvious ones like NYKC and Schrade peachseed.
I'm not sure myself!! Empire made a lot of Shapleighs, but this looks like someone else's work???

I wish I had a Grandad who I knew and loved - then to have one of his knives would be quite the treasure.
At least my grandkids will have that - as I have given their Dads some nice Knives and hope to live to the day were I can gift my Grandchildren one of my very own special knives and hope they take to it 😍

My grandfather was a good honest hardworking man. Left home at around 12 because his father died from TB. Rode the rails. Worked on oil tankers. Even jumped ship while going through the Canal. The Sheriff caught a bunch of guys along with him and put him on the next ship going through. Man I wish I could have been a bird following him around in his youth.
